| The Castell d´Age, Anne Marie Comtesse Cava range is characterized by the traditional coupage og the three varieties used in the Penedés region cavas. These grapes, harvested at their optimum ripeness and acidity and with a subsequent aging from 24 to 30 months, have a distinctive fresh and fruity quality which are the main characteristics of the Anne Marie Comtesse Cavas. The sweetness varies with every different type of cava. | ||
| Anne Marie Comtesse Brut Nature | ||
Aged: 18 to 24 months in the bottle Grape variety: Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada. Alcohol percentage: 11.5% Vol. Characteristics: Without the addition of sugar, these cavas preserve their perfect equilibrium. Aspect: Straw-coloured with reflections of green vigour. The small, fine sparkling bubbles form the presence of a rosary or coronet. Aroma: A fine aroma of growth, with butter-like notes and a depth of ripe fruit. It attacks the senses with its pleasantness and freshness as the taste unfolds with every sip. The notes of growth are fused with ripe fruits, toasted blends and dried fruits. It leaves a full and persistent finish. It is an ideal aperitif and the perfect accompaniment to fish and seafood, also sauces, games red and white meats and mildly matured cheese. |

Aged: 12 to 15 months Grape variety: Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada. Alcohol percentage: 11.5% Vol. Characteristics: The Reserve nomenclature legislation regulates that the sugar levels of cava must not exceed 6 gr./l. For this reason our Anne Marie Comtesse Brut is literally dry. Its light palate is more agreeable than that of the Brut Nature. It is enhanced by the quality of the fruit and shares its main characteristics with its own nursery blends conserving its natural freshness. |

Aged: 12 to 15 months Grape variety: Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada. Alcohol percentage: 11.5% Vol. Characteristics: Prepared with few conceptions, It is most pleasant and very fresh. This cava is especially served well with fine sweets and deserts and not excessively sweet cakes. But is well served too as an aperitif and alongside many starter dishes including classical Asian plates. It also goes well with a wide range of blue cheeses. |

The Anne Marie Comtesse wine range consists of 4 wines: a white wine, a rosaé and two red wines, alle made according to the lates enological criteria. Each wine preserves its own particular "coupage" and the grape varieties grow in the most appropriate environment and soil. We vary the percentage used of euch grape depending on the weather conditions of each harvest and by doing so obtaining a perfectly balanced wine at all times. |

The Castell D'Age range of wines is characterized by the selective use of the best grapes, its exceptional coupage and careful aging. All wines are obtained from a selection of the best grapes grown in the most suitable land and soil of the estate and harvested at their optimum point of ripeness. The well-studied coupage and the percentage of each variety depend on the weather conditions of each harvest and enhance the best features of each grape. Lastly, its balanced aging in oak barrels and in the bottle gives a final touch to these wines, all of which are elegant, modern, tasty and perfectly balanced. |

Our vine growing is the key to the many years of success of the Castell d'Age Ecological Wines, especially in the international markets. These two young wines, a white wine and a red one, both made from a single variety, are obtained from our Ecological Vineyards, qualified by the CCPAE (Catalonian Association for Ecological Agricultural Production). This regulating body certifies that these vines are ecologically grown with total absence of synthetic chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, respecting in this way the natural balance between the plants and the soil. |

| Castell d'Age Blanc de Blancs 2005 | ||
Type of wine: Young Varieties: Macabeo (ecologically cultivated), mature vineyards. Alcohol content: 12% Vol. Characteristics: Few bodegas prepare mono-variety white wines with the Macabeo grape. Originated in the ecological vineyards it now forms a part of the traditional white wines and cavas of the Penedès region. This young white is characterised by its native home-grown grapes, body and natural oils with the freshness and finesse which characterise young white wines. |

| Castell d'Age Chardonnay 2005 | ||
Aged: 4 to 6 months in French and American oak barrels which are turned once a week throughout the required fermentation period which helps to harmonise the oak and the wine. Varieties: Chardonnay 100% (ecologically cultivated) Alcohol content: 13,5% Vol. Characteristics: This wine is always the first to be put into brand new French and American oak barrels which are incorporated in our bodegas every year. This preparation with a selection of the best Chardonnay grapes originated in the oldest vineyards of the property. This wine retains the taste of the exotic ripe fruits from its first period of fermentation and when it is ready for commercial consumption it is complimented with blends of honey, vanilla, butter and with a hint of spices. |

With its sand-free calcium-rich soil and its abundance of small round pebbles it allows a magnitude of rainfall to permeate and drench the roots of the vines filling it with life.. |

These vineyards are situated on the country estate of Can Vila and Can Claramunt, in the Alt Penedès region which sits above soft sloping hills and calcium-rich clay soil with few organic matter. |

| Son los vinos que están elaborados con una sola variedad de uva, o al menos ésta interviene en la mezcla en una proporción muy dominante, nunca inferior al 85%. Los vinos varietales de Castell d'Age-Vilademany se apoyan en la personalidad de los aromas y los sabores propios de la uva que ha dado origen al vino. La complejidad varietal de nuestros vinos está en relación directa con la nobleza de ciertas variedades internacionales, como son las tintas de cabernet sauvignon y la merlot, y la blanca chardonnay. |

Crianza: 4 meses en barrica. Variedades de uva: Chardonnay Grado alcohólico: 13,5 % vol. Características: Este es el vino que siempre estrena una parte de las barricas nuevas de roble francés y americano que se incorporan cada año en nuestra bodega. Está elaborado con una selección de las mejores uvas de chardonnay procedentes de los viñedos más viejos de la hacienda. Es un vino que recuerda la frutas maduras exóticas durante su primer período de fermentación, y al final, cuando ya se comercializa, se complementa con matices de miel, vainilla y mantequilla, con un ápice de especies. |

Tipo de vino: Semicrianza reductiva Crianza: 15 meses: 4 a 6 meses en barricas de roble francés y americano, el resto en botella y bodega. Variedades de uva: 85% merlot y cabernet sauvignon. Características: Este vino se estabiliza durante un mínimo de 15 meses antes de su comercialización y se complementa con un mínimo porcentaje de cabernet sauvignon, el cual aporta flexibilidad y ligereza al conjunto, y permite obtener un vino de consumo más rápido, suave, redondo y equilibrado. |

| Castell d'Age Cabernet Sauvignon | ||
Tipo de vino: Crianza Crianza: de 6 a 8 meses en barricas de roble francés y americano y 18 meses en botella y bodega. Variedades de uva: 85% cabernet sauvignon y tempranillo Grado alcohólico: 13 % vol. Características: Es un vino de gran profundidad, armónico y sabroso, donde el mínimo porcentaje de tempranillo termina por perfilar su noble carácter mediterráneo. Resulta tan equilibrado cuando se comercializa que se hace difícil aconsejar un posterior envejecimiento, aunque añadas anteriores están dando excelentes muestras de sí mismas después dealgunos años más en botella. |
